| "i have always been afraid but i have never been patient and that means far greater to me than any fear i've ever had you know what i mean you do know."
------------
for those of us who have barely made our parents proud &nearly didnt graduate high school what is the rest of our lives except the lack of future we've already predetermined to fear what is it except for the empty space recalling us between our ears
i am only as unsure as you.
we may be growing up together &growing separate all the same each at our own pace
then eventually, as if we had the alterative choice, we'll walk away from our daily occupations as students, as the invincible drivers&underpaid workers we'll turn out of the mixes that make high school what it is &we'll vow sobriety for a little while then find ourselves in the non-smoking section, in monogamous relationships, making more money than our vouched enemies, in master bedrooms of mortgaged houses.
i'll see you there. |
